Chico men charged with home invasion, evading police
Three Chico men have been arrested in connection with a home invasion last month.
Barry Eastman, 32, Marjon Blount, 22, and Tolynn Scott, 20, have been charged with first degree robbery and conspiracy. A fourth person is also suspected to have been involved, but police have not found or identified them.
Chico Police Department received a call about 5:40 p.m. March 22 in the 500 block of W. 11 Street. According to court records, two of the men were armed and had injured residents Christopher Martinez and Logan O’Sullivan. This was not random; the purpose of the break-in was to steal the residents’ marijuana, according to a Chico Police Department news release.
The court documents stated that Eastman and Scott were armed with a handgun and Blount was not.
The police chased the getaway car near Cohasset Road and East Avenue, where one of the men got out of the car and ran away. The car then drove off and crashed into a curb at the corner of Cactus Avenue and East Avenue, where the remaining subjects split up and ran into the nearby neighborhood, according to police. The police found each subject in a different part of the neighborhood
Charges for the trio included home invasion robbery, conspiracy and evading a peace officer by reckless driving.
