Western Australia has once again demonstrated the incredible power of community coming together for a cause. 2025 marked our biggest fundraising year yet, with people across the State hosting events, challenges and campaigns to support children’s health and wellbeing.

Highlights included Luke Taylor’s jaw-dropping 750km treadmill run, Ossie Indoor Beach Volleyball’s 24-hr indoor volleyball marathon, a Bunnings state-wide sausage sizzle, plus dozens of schools across WA going all out with crazy hair days, discos, pancake flips and raffles. All in all, more than 1,120 community fundraisers united to create a brighter future for WA kids.

And it wasn’t just community fundraisers reaching new heights; individual giving soared, with call centre and online donations hitting record levels across the Telethon Weekend.

Every donation told a story of kindness and compassion, showing the extraordinary difference that’s possible when a community rallies together to support children who need it most.

The Telethon Family Festival was a wonderful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose: helping kids. The festival reflected the spirit behind Telethon; every ride, performance, volunteer and supporter played a part in creating an event that was built on generosity and community support.

Families came together to enjoy the activities, while at the same time contributing to something much bigger: communities supporting communities and thousands of people standing together to help change the lives of sick, vulnerable and disadvantaged children. The Telethon Family Festival captured what makes Telethon so special: joy, generosity, hope and heart.
